Located at the brand new Cooranbong Park facility in Lake Macquarie, Southern Lakes United Football Club is the ideal Football club to develop your skills, learn to love the game, and have a brilliant time playing soccer! With teams starting from under 5’s all the way through to men’s and ladies’ all ages, we cater to all ages and players all over the peninsular from Dora Creek, Morisset, Cooranbong, Bonnells Bay and surrounds.
Round One for our juniors is officially done and dusted 🙌⚽️ What a fantastic start to the season! It was great to see all our teams out there enjoying their football -plenty of effort, big smiles, and awesome teamwork across every age group. From our youngest players taking their first steps on the field to our older teams putting in strong performances, the club spirit was on full display 🧡🖤⚽ A huge thank you to all of our coaches, managers, volunteers, and families for your continued support - it doesn’t happen without you 👏 🌟 Congratulations to all of our Players of the Week! 🌟 A well-deserved recognition for your effort, attitude, and teamwork. Round One ✅ Our comp teams have officially kicked off the season! 💥 A mix of results across the board, but plenty to take away from the first hit-out of the year. Strong effort, great energy, and some really positive signs already showing in all teams. 💥𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝟲-𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲!💥 Reserve Grade got the job done with a strong 2–1 win, with Cooper Bowen-Teunissen and Jack Elsworth finding the back of the net 👏 First Grade followed it up in style, running out 4–2 winners, with our very own Larakin Rob Kirkwood bagging all four goals 😅 - early signs Loren might be nervously dusting off the plans for that “golden boot shrine”… purely hypothetical of course 👀 Most importantly, the coaching staff are incredibly proud of the effort put in across both grades today. There was no pressure, just trust in the work - and the proof was well and truly in the pudding. All in all, a great day for the club 🧡🖤 Our Zone boys have the weekend off next week, but we’d love to see them around the grounds getting behind our community sides! Congratulations Boys! What a day for football!!
